Our sustainability policy is at the heart of everything we do, from the start of the coffee supply chain to the final cup.
The origin of our coffee
We source 75% of our green coffee beans in bulk, delivered with CO₂-friendly transport. Each 1,000 kg big bag reduces packaging waste and minimizes transport emissions.
Fairtrade coffee
Oké Koffie’s Fairtrade range fully complies with both Belgian and international Fairtrade standards. We proudly uphold the core principles of fair trade: a guaranteed minimum price for farmers, environmentally responsible farming methods, and fair working conditions.
Energy-efficient production system
From energy-saving slow roasting technology to advanced packaging equipment with a smaller ecological footprint, our new production facility is designed to create coffee with minimal environmental impact.
We’ve also invested in solar panels, high-efficiency LED lighting, and low-energy heating and cooling systems.
CO₂-friendly transport
Our CO₂-friendly transport network, featuring hybrid vehicles and soon an electric delivery van, ensures a short distance between our roastery and our customers. Local production and efficient route planning help us keep our logistical footprint to a minimum.
ISO 22000 certified
Oké Coffee is ISO 22000 certified, meaning we fully comply with internationally recognized food safety standards. We don’t just operate in the coffee industry, no, we hold ourselves to the highest standards. We understand our operational context, manage all potential risks, and have a strict action plan in place for any situation that could threaten food safety.
